Effortlessly stream up to four sources—even a studio condenser mic or an electric guitar—to your online audience in high resolution with the IK Multimedia iRig Stream Pro, an ultracompact 4×2 audio interface designed for plug-and-play compatibility with smartphones, tablets, and computers. Equally useful for musicians, podcasters, and social media video creators, the iRig Stream Pro features straightforward connections and simple controls for refreshing ease of use.
A single XLR-1/4″ combo input with +48V phantom power accommodates a mic or instrument. The interface’s stereo RCA input lets you hook up a feed from a DJ mixer, mixing console, keyboard, or drum machine. And its 3.5mm TRRS port lets you talk over the stereo input when you connect a headset, headphones with a built-in mic, or other IK Multimedia device such as the iRig Mic Lav, iRig Mic, or iRig Pre (all available separately). There’s also a loopback function that merges your device’s output with the iRig Stream Pro’s input and routes it back to your device—perfect for singing/jamming along to a backing track or narrating a video.
Each input has its own independent volume control, which is then mixed down to your choice of stereo or four channels to stream, process, or record into all your favorite apps.
Switchable direct monitoring lets you audition your sound before going live, so you’ll never have to ask your listeners how you sound again. Need to cough? A front-panel mute button instantly mutes the XLR-1/4” input, so you can duck out of your stream and rejoin silently without disrupting the other inputs.
Switching to multichannel mode, the combo and TRRS inputs are routed to channels 3 and 4 respectively giving you four channels of audio to send to recording apps such as GarageBand or your favorite DAW.
Now you can actually use these apps on your iOS or Android device as a front-end processor for all streaming apps. It’s like using them as a plug-in for more creative and professional-sounding streams.
The two supplied AA batteries provide up to 20 hours of reliable performance with phantom power on. Or, connect via bus power on your computer for battery-free operation. An optional PSU not only powers iRig Stream Pro, it will keep your iPhone or iPad charged as well for even the longest sessions.
